BRISA delivers management system for car tracing with Quanta technology
The Fleet manager allows the logistic operator to distantly monitor all the steps of the process of transporting and establishing suitable security measures.

BRISA has developed the Fleet Manager System under Quanta Technology’s request, Quanta Technology is a company which manufactures and commercializes car alarm devices, tracing systems and hardwares which guarantee the security and logistic. The software allows the vehicles equipped with Tetros family tracing device, manufactured by Quanta, to be be monitored by data or team management modules. Such System is flexible for serving security and logistic operations of companies with different sizes and fields.   

The amount of services requested to BRISA required the development of a multiplatform system which could fit any customer’s environment. It should have been ‘open source’ as well, in order to reduce costs and fit the most advanced technological trends.

The Fleet Manager was built in nine modules, in order to satisfy the different requirements and logistic operation processes.  Quanta commercializes the complete system and the customer can enable or disable the functions in the system access settings according to their plans.

Luciano Fontes, Quanta Technology’s Software Engineering Manager explains that ‘originally, the system could be seen as another software for vehicles security and logistic, though it has been the result of over 20 years of Quanta’s experience in the field of Automotive Technology  and  BRISA’s experience in the field of Information Systems’. The Fleet Manager has unique technical and functional characteristics, which cannot be found at any other system offered in the market and a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) which has never been seen in such segment. The system’s screens as well as its reports were prepared for a maximum productivity, making your browsing experience the most pleasant as possible.

Another benefit of such system is that it is possible to operate the system from a single Tetros family tracing device by Quanta Technology. The Fleet Manager makes it possible for companies to create plans for logistic operations with itinerary definitions, collectings, deliveries, stoppings, among other activities, with a total control of the planned and performed time, automatically, with optional human intervention. Thus the customers can spend their time concentrating on the exceptions and not on the normal cycle of the operation.

The system has been homologated and successfully passed harsh tests, on which all the pre-requisites were evaluated. The tests counted on the help of Quanta Technology’s customers, who subjected the system to real situation operations and presented some issues to be improved.

According to Paulo Toledo, BRISA’s President, ‘the project with Quanta Technology is another BRISA’s successful one in the field of embarked software development’. Each module of the project under development matches Quanta Technology’s specific customer goals who present different managemental needs  and, according to the nature of their processes, need to offer different levels of autonomy for each vehicle of their fleet or operation kind.
